State of the Unity: Pair of dice and the cowardice of Barnaby Johnston
Unity 3D was borned and spoken so that the rabble of the world could stand all slack-jawed under the umbrella of togtherness and pretend that it was paradise earned. But all ain't well in that land of the back slaps. Especially when given the honorable task of somehow keeping the Library folders under source control and out of site of bandits. Size ain't the problem she says. Problem's just volume innit. I don't know Woman...it might just be. It might just be. I'm assuming (and you know what that makes of us all) the hashed values of all the assets, properties, and seemly natures of the objects of your eden are tracked in that thar folder. Well laaaarrrzy! I'll be back in few after I get latest or I get advanced.
What we also have here is the story of two separate editors. Two deadly snakes eyes rolled into your fate. The two shall meet in the middle but sharing with the unwashed can be a journey in conflicts. And what of these generics, and lamdas, and juggernaut of Mono revisions. Barnaby Johnston speaks of an "ubermerge" of epic proportions. Bake once, export thrice. A hazy celestial drug indeed! And when the unwashed ask Barn when this renaissance of the digital editing nature will possibly take place, Barn says "soon my children...soon. Trust me." Well I spat and said, "The people have spoken. Better trust US and give us our grace. The flock is fickle." It's true. And they'll run like a gaggle of surrender monkeys. See...they're really seeking TRUE unity. I think Unity should give it to them. Sometimes the gaggle speaks once...
